Derringers

Remington Model 95 over-under derringers were manufactured from 1866 until 1935, in several rimfire calibers, the most common of which was .41 rimfire. Remington's model 95 is likely the most copied design in use today. These double barreled beauties speak with a big voice and don't take up too much space in a pocket or purse. Popularized by gentlemen at the turn of the Century these found themselves in the pockets of many well dressed men. Today these are made in calibers from 22LR all the way up to 45 Long Colt and some chambered to accept .410 Shot Shells these are certainly powerful defense weapons for deflecting trouble. One look at this by an unsuspecting villan and the only thing you'll see is his back as he runs away.

Today replicas of these are available from American Derringer and Bond Arms to name a couple.
